FOIA
The Rockford Township Office of the Assessor looks forward to working with you to enforce transparency laws and ensure that our office is open, accessible, and accountable to all who request information.
FOIA Request Defined
A FOIA Request is a formal demand, made by a person, for a document from this office, made either verbally or in writing.
A link to a FOIA Request Form can be found at the bottom of this page; however, this form is not required.
FOIA FEES
Electronic files that are emailed to you are free of charge.
Unless the requested amount of data requires a flash drive, records are provided free of charge for MOST requests. If a fee is required to cover the request, that will be discussed prior to delivery.
Response Time
Typically, requests can be fulfilled within the same visit (in person, at the office) or on the same business day (via email or phone request).
Some requests will take longer. In such cases, you will receive your requested information within the timeframe FOIA allows.
Please note that some property information is not generated at our office. When this occurs, we will gladly assist by directing you to the issuing body.
